I'M CAUGHT TO THE MANGA, TILL CHAPTER 1044. The entire Roger execution and the events that took place getting to that point will be explained in wano arc so stay tunedĪnd ace was used as a stepping stone by the government to discourage the pirates and show off there might by killing ace Roger's son and whitebeard(the current person closest to one piece) if luckyĭidn't you read it properly. he just turned himself in so he could START the great pirate era.Īce's death, meanwhile was meant to try and stop the great pirate era because at the time, Shirohige's crew was the strongest pirate crew, so they thought it'd set an example. When roger was executed, the great pirate era hadn't begun. They probably wanted to use Ace to demotivate the pirates after the one piece, by killing such a giant figure. That’s what made the name “Gold D Roger” as big as it is. But what I think is more likely is that Roger was as big as a problem until he spread word of the one piece. They probably wanted to get his execution over with, he wasn’t really someone they could take much time killing. Btw, the latest chapter was HELLA amazing!

I don't care about any spoilers, I'm all caught up to the manga. So, may I get a satisfactory answer from someone.

In Roger's case too, there were chances of his crew coming to save him, even though Roger didn't want that. If they execute Roger's son in Marineford, then why to execute Roger himself in Loguetown!?ĭon't tell me it was because they were cautious of Whitebeard pirates coming to rescue Ace. Ace was only a Divison commander in Whitebeard's crew and marines went through all the trouble to execute him in Marineford, just because he is Roger's son. Why was Roger executed in Loguetown? I mean, he was such a great pirate, even became the Pirate King and the Marines executed him in a small town like Loguetown. WARNING: THE FOLLOWING THREAD CONTAINS SOME HEAVY SPOILERS TILL MARINEFORD ARC.
